Sending Hugs is a family-owned business located in Melbourne, Victoria. We use Australia Post for delivery anywhere in Australia. Shipping costs are calculated automatically on the weight of the items purchased with a minimum charge of $9.55. Additional charges for Express Post, for orders under the value of $100.00, will be shown during the checkout process. We aim to dispatch in-stock goods within 1 working day of receipt of payment.
Deliveries are made during business hours Monday to Friday (excluding public holidays). We can try and accommodate requests for delivery on specific dates, however, we can’t make any guarantees as any delays with delivery are out of our control.
Please Note: We use Australia Post and base our delivery expectations on their guidelines. Once an item is sent, we rely solely on their service to get your order to you or the recipient in the estimated time frame. The delivery side is completely out of our hands and we cannot be held responsible if there is a hold-up with delivery. Australia Post offers an excellent service which is why we have chosen to trust them with your special items.
Once the order has been posted you will receive an email updating your order status to completed which will include tracking information and a link for your reference.

When are deliveries made?
Deliveries occur during business hours Monday – Friday (except in peak periods when Saturday delivery may be available). We are not able to provide delivery on specific dates but can try and accommodate requests.
Orders placed on a weekend will be processed on the next business day.
Does the recipient need to be home?
No. Delivery drivers have the authority to leave. If they deem the premises suitable to leave the parcel they will place it in a safe and secure area. If not, they will leave a card and take it to the nearest Australia Post office.
Can I track my order online?
Yes. Once your order has been completed you will receive an email from us which will include the tracking number and link.
Do you deliver to hospitals?
Yes, we can, but it can be very tricky to co-ordinate. Large hospitals have their own internal mail sorting room so gifts are not sent directly to the patient. It is a good idea to check before placing the order that the patient will still be in the hospital at least 4 days after the order has been placed.
What happens if I supply the wrong address details?
Please contact us as soon as possible once you have realised the error. If the parcel has not been shipped we can alter the details on the order. If you provide the wrong delivery address and the gift has been dispatched we can try and contact the courier but Sending Hugs takes no responsibility for incorrect delivery details.
Can you deliver to a PO Box?
Yes. Choose an Australia Post shipping method for this type of delivery.
Is the invoice sent with the order?
No. All receipts are sent to the email address provided with the order details.
