Encouraging Problem-Solving Through Play
Building a road might seem like a simple activity, but there are plenty of opportunities for learning along the way.
As children connect the felt track pieces, they’re encouraged to think about how different shapes and sections fit together.
They can experiment with new layouts, discover which pieces connect and find creative solutions when a road doesn’t lead quite where they expected.
These hands-on activities can help develop spatial awareness, problem-solving abilities and hand-eye coordination.
Moving the wooden cars around the completed track also encourages fine motor skills, while imaginative driving adventures support storytelling, creativity and independent play.
Best of all, children can learn and explore naturally while having fun.
